Room 2 Remembers
For this contribution, I led a meaningful activity where the children actively participated in creating a poignant wreath. The process involved the children painting delicate poppies, and I carefully traced their hands. Afterward, the children added their artistic touch by colouring the handprints. The collaborative effort not only engaged the children in a creative process but also resulted in a visually striking and heartfelt tribute for the Remembrance Day assembly."
Counting on Fall
As part of our fall-themed project, I led a fun exercise in which kids created colourful leaves, and I helped them sketch adorable pumpkins. Their creativity came to life as they carefully painted these elements with an autumnal feel. This teamwork produced a stunning exhibit that perfectly captured the spirit of fall and highlighted the individual contributions made by each child as well as the project.
Painting Christmas Trees
To usher in the Christmas season, the children took part in a festive activity. I provided them with playdough cutters shaped like Christmas trees, offering a delightful twist to the traditional painting experience. The children used these cutters in place of paintbrushes to make original, tactile depictions of the Christmas spirit. The exercise made our Christmas-themed celebrations more cheerful and interactive, which also encouraged innovation.
